Statement from Participating Teachers in Salvador

We wrote our expectations in a group to transmit our ideas about the experience of interchange between children and adolescents From Salvador and Chicago.

We hope that by this work our students discover that there are many other ways of thinking, living, talking, writing, eating, dressing,- many other customs, professsional options, and family lives different than their own culture and personal experiences.

We hope that our students discover that kids from other countries with different sources and types of lives can meet common points and experience that closely, valuing the diversity of other cultures.

We hope that the social issues nowadays facing many young Brazilian people can be discussed in this work like health, cultural diversity, ethics and environment.

We hope that our students value art as a universal language, a way of knowledge and approach between people.

We hope in the end to expand their knowledge of the world and of the means of localization and globalization of these students.

Unfortunately, not all of us have email, in fact, just a few. So we have to begin our communication via Via Magia's email, through which we have already been communicating. We will be in touch again soon.
