Welcome to the help section. The education component of this site is offered as a free service. The focus of this service is to help teachers put their curriculum online. Many teachers today are faced with time constraints that prohibit them from following up on workshops offered in their school district. One of the national concerns in the use of technology in education today is that training is far behind the actual technologies in place. As a result, the schools are ready, but teachers are not. It is very unlikely that most teachers will ever "catch up" with technology if they haven't started already. Academic programs throughout the nation are not preparing new teachers adequately in technology use as well.
However, their are a select group of teachers willing to innovate and incorporate new technologies into their classroom. Many of those teachers are already ahead of the educational programs in place in their district. Equally, their are districts with NO programs in place and teachers need to know where and how to begin.
This is where we come in. Biosfear.org is offering free consultation and a dedicated help service to teachers who need continuing help past the services offered by most school districts. This includes addressing topics as mentioned in the Hand-On-Line section of this site.
While BiosFear.org is primarily an organization for development, the author and owner of BiosFear Graphics is a high school biology teacher at Community High School District 94, and is willing to help anyone who is interested or in need of help with building their own online curriculum. He can be contacted through email or by phone.
