READING AND TAKING NOTES--Assignment 2
OBJECTIVE:
You are to find a minimum of 10 references of both primary and secondary sources relating to your particular project and create four types of notes (paraphrase, quotes, statistics, precise')*.

i. Two pieces of information from this source related to your topic.This reference has sketches of male and female structures of many flowering plants. The authors discuss each structure sketched stating the function of even the smallest components. Certain chemicals do alter the male structures rendering the plant not as productive.
GUIDELINES FOR NOTES:
1. Materials with a copyright of 1992 or later should be used whenever possible.
2. You may use sentence fragments instead of complete sentences.
3. You should have at a minimum 30 note cards.
TYPES OF NOTES:
PARAPHRASE:
Copy notes in your language.
QUOTES: Copy notes exactly as written in the reference. Include quotation marks and the author if different than the author of the book.
STATISTICS: Numbers, numerical evidence of research, facts, data.
PRECISE': Summary statement of a large section or resource material.
