General information about myself:
My full name is David Seth Pullman. I’m a Gemini, born on May 25th, three months prematurely, so as you can see, I weighed less than 2 pounds when I was born.
Luckily I have gained a few pounds since then. I grew up in a suburb of Chicago, IL with my parents, and my older brother, Jeremy. We used to fight alot, but we became really good friends as we grew older.
I’m a big fan of the Simpsons, the Chicago Bears and the Chicago Cubs.
Family:
My family is very important to me. My parents and grandparents all live in the Chicago area. I’m lucky to say that all my grandparents are alive and well (ranging in age from 81 through 85). I really enjoy spending time with my grandparents. They tell the best stories and cook amazing meals. My maternal grandparents are Holocaust survivors, and have a very positive outlook on life. My older brother moved to California 2 years ago, and I really don't get to see him as often as I would like. My family is pretty close and it seems the older I get, the closer my family gets.Kids:
I love working with children. I’ve been a camp counselor for the past six summers. As a camp counselor, my job is to make sure all my campers are safe and are having fun. If I can put a smile on a child’s face, it makes me happy and it’s very rewarding. During the summer and whenever I’m home, I baby sit for three little boys. I love them and they love me. It’s the perfect job because I get paid really well for something I love to do. When I graduate from NAU, there’s a good chance that I’m going to get my masters in education. I think “PRM” and teaching would be a great combination for me.
Wilmette Park District:
The Wilmette Park District has been a big part of my life ever since I was a little boy. I grew up attending many of their recreation programs, including; pre-school, summer camp, gymnastics, soccer, and basketball. The WPD offers a wide variety of recreation programs for all ages. I’ve also been working there for over seven years. My jobs have included being a camp counselor, score keeper, soccer referee, and daycare counselor. I’m probably going to do my internship at the Wilmette Park District and I may even end up working there in the long-run.
Hobbies:
I enjoy camping, fishing, hanging out with my friends, movies, live music, barhopping, and especially
sports. I started playing soccer in kindergarten and basketball in third grade.
Eventually, I played on the soccer and basketball team in high school. While I was in high school, my dad and I were volunteer coaches for a junior high school basketball team. We had great luck in the past and won two championships. I’m looking forward to our next team. Not only do I enjoy participating in sports, but I also enjoy watching them. I’ve attended a World Series baseball game, a World Cup soccer game, and I had the pleasure of watching Michael Jordan win six titles with the Chicago Bull’s. In March, I"m hoping to attend the college basketball NCAA Final Four in Atlanta.
