February 2008/March 2008 - College trips are part of the GEAR UP experience for families. This year a trip for freshmen students and their parents on a UIC College Trip includes tickets to a UIC Flames game. Participating in the workshop, Street Smarts is a way to keep students safe from gangs. |

December 2007/January 2008 -. Carnegie students participate in a School Shadowing Day at Hyde Park Academy. Hyde Park Academy students practice learning the social skills they will need to be successful in college by participating in a Western Dance Night. |
