YAL
Case Study 2005-06
The Young Adult Literature Conference: YAL gives high school and middle school teachers an opportunity to read, discuss, and participate in workshops structured around quality fiction and nonfiction texts. The Conference is free to teachers, grades 6-12, in GEAR UP and ARDDP schools.
Units-for-Books Program: GEAR UP and ARDDP teachers earn a class set of books by writing and implementing your own unit based on conference strategies. The Units for Books Program offers you the opportunity to write your own YAL unit and implement it with your students. In exchange, we provide a class set (30) of books to use with your students. We also ask that you participate in documentation of your unit and that you allow us to share it with other teachers by posting it on our website. For details follow the link to Units for Books. |
