Elementary Success Club production of the play We Care.

Highlight
Summer 2003
-- Mrs. Lee, Dumas Elementary, created a winning combination for
her students this year. Her Success Club mounted a production of
the play, We Care.
Besides rehearsing
and memorizing their lines, students created their own set and did
their own publicity. They also created a public awareness campaign
about drugs, one of the themes of the play.
Everyone worked
long hours with parents bringing students back to school for evening
rehearsals.
GEAR UP clubs
provide a way to offer students enrichment activities that are fun
and interesting. They also provide teachers with opportunities to
develop project based learning activities that involve providing
students with a number of real life learning experiences. Find out
