African American Almanac A very fine source of information on everything from folk tales to the speeches of important African Americans. African Americans in Science A good site that shows the importance African Americans have had in science. It may encourage you to become a scientist. The African American Odyssey The very best study of African American History on the Internet. It was put together by the Library of Congress and takes advantage of all its wonderful resources. Black History Hotlist One of the best lists of links to sources of African American History. You can find someting of use for in studying any period of history or any important person. The Digital Librarian: Africana A huge list of sites including many from university collections that are not often mentioned. Encylcopaedia Britannica Guide to Black History Britannica is outstanding at everything it does, and this is free. Stamp on Black History This site studies black history through the many stamps that have been dedicated to important African Americans. Each one is given considerable attention. You will be surprised to find good information about so many honored black Americans. This Week in Black History This site keeps an ongoing track of the important things that have happened through history.
