Yahooligan's "Web Page Design" page has several good references. Look them over.

Learning HTML for Kids is the one I like best from Yahooligans.

Lissa Explains it all is written by a 12 year old girl in Florida. It is a beautiful page and you might like it better than my favorite "Learning HTML for Kids."
