Web Page Creation Tools

These tools are used to make your own web pages.

SCR*TEC's Web Worksheet Wizard

This is a tool used by teachers to create their own pages, with activities and links.

First Activity:

Visit and survey the Web Worksheet Wizard homepage.

Enrichment Activities:

Go to the View Other's Worksheets page. Look at examples of what teachers do with the wizard.
Go to the Build / Edit a Worksheet (right click and open into a new window). Explore the Web Worksheet Wizard template, which creates the page from the information you put into the textboxes.

SCR*TEC's Project Poster

This is a template for students to use to create posters or pages on the internet. If we are going to allow students to use the template, we should take time to do one first, just to know what we are talking about.

Enrichment Activities:

Go to the Project Poster page, and explore examples of what students have done.
Go to the Project Poster Entry Form and explore the process of making a poster page.

Teacher Net Template Maker

This allows the teacher to create a basic homepage template, which is emailed to you. It is then ready to edit with Composer. Or you may choose to view the page you have just made, use the edit page option from the file menu to open it into Composer for immediate editing and/or saving.

Your Class Online

Lightspan.com provides a template with many features. Customize and save on their site.

Netscape Templates

In Netscape Communicator, from the File menu choose the New option and then select Page From Template, click on the button Netscape Templates. This will take you to Netscape's web site, where you can download a Netscape Template and edit it with composer to suit your needs.

This Teacherweb template, though not a Netscape template, can be edited with Netscape Composer. To use, right click and open the link in Composer.

For instructions, you can go to Netscape Composer 4.x Quick Start, or Let's Write a Web Page . You may also do a Netscape homepage search for the phrase "Netscape templates", which will yield about 500 sites providing Composer instructions.

Another option is to use a Netscape Page Wizard, which steps you through the process of creating on a blank page. Just follow instructions..

MouseCGI is a site which provides free templates and services, including a template for a survey form. It will report the results to you free of charge. Other templates: guest book, simple feedback, cards.
