1> Place the following or similar organic materials
in a plastic bag or outside in a marked area: fruit peels, leaves,
old bread,
coffee grounds, green
tops of vegetables and potato peels.
2> Chop and mix them up with water and soil.
3> Twist and tie the bag securely or cover and mound with dirt.
4> Open the bag once a day to allow oxygen inside. It is needed by the decomposers for the breakdown of the materials.
5> Every three days record observations of the changes that are occurring in your bag.
6> When you are done observing this activity answer
the questions on Post
