You will need:
Sheets of paper (from your recycling bin, I hope)
Tape and/or glue

Now,
1.Get into groups of 3-4

2.Make your paper into a 3-dimensional shape. (Suggested shapes to make are:  cube, rectangular box, sphere, cone, cylinder, 3 sided pyramid, 4 sided pyramid)

3.Size is of no consequence though all shapes should be approximately the same size.  Try creative ways to form shapes.

4.Show off each shape commenting on the creative thinking involved.

5.Put all of your shapes together into the most compact structure possible without changing any of the original shapes.  Tape can be used to hold them together.

6.When you finish have each group describe and show
their shapes.  For the most part each large shape will resemble the smaller original shapes.
