Melinda Dahl My name is Melinda Dahl. I have taught for the last 15 years in a variety of teaching positions including Special Education, Reading Recovery, and Technology. As a teacher in an urban setting, helping to create this module has allowed me to see the vast implications that the web and technology holds for our students. Most importantly, using the web to convey information to teachers and other interested "folks" was fun!!!!! Hopefully you and your students will enjoy the Little Red Riding Hood activities as much as I enjoyed putting them together:>) Suggestions? Questions? E-mail

Stefanie Kelly I am a first-grade teacher at Ray School, a Chicago Public
School. This is my second year teaching and the activities described
in my section were mainstays in my language arts curriculum last year.
I am a serious children's book addict, and folk tales are some of my favorites!
I hope you and your class enjoy reading these stories.
Dale Ray I have taught primary students for the last 13 years, as a classroom teacher, Reading Recovery teacher, and Literacy Coordinator. I love using folk tales with young students because of all the rich possibilities they provide to expand the curriculum. (My favorite is actually The Gingerbread Man, but I enjoyed working on The Little Red Hen for this unit!) Sheila Sweeney I am a Kindergarten teacher at North Kenwood/Oakland Charter School in Chicago, IL. When I think about the resources that web based curriculum sites bring to other teachers around the world, I am thrilled. My sample lessons on Cinderella are my first contribution to this global library of sorts. I hope you find them useful. Suggestions? Questions? Email me! |
