Using Index Cards

Index cards provide a simple, yet precise method for recording small bits of information. They are usually 3"x 5" or 4"x 6" in size, and can be likened to using a database program on a computer. In a database document, each cell contains one piece of information. Likewise, each index card you use also holds a single piece of data or information about a subject.

We have included three situations where index cards are useful:

Index Cards for Research Papers
Index Cards for Vocabulary
Index Cards for Speeches
