Managing Your Time and Environment














Developing effective study skills is absolutely essential if you have high hopes of succeeding in high school and college. “Managing Your Time and Environment”has been designed to guide you in:

Evaluating your current time management skills and attitudes about studying... "Am I doing this right?"
Organizing an effective study schedule... "When do I study?"
Creating a distraction-free study environment... "Where do I study"
Employing proven, effective study strategies... "There's got to be a better way!"
 
 


"Without effective study skills you risk frustration, wasted time,
and low or failing grades!"

ACTIVITY: Before going any further, we would like you to take a short assessment of your current study skills:

  1.     1. Click on the button in #7.
  2.     2. Print out the document, "Study Skills Checklist."
  3.     3. Complete the assessment.
  4.     4. Turn in the completed assessment to your advisory teacher.
  5.     5. Make certain to put your name at the top of the "Study Skills Checklist."
  6.     6. Click the "BACK" button after printing.
  7.     7. Click on the "Study Skills Checklist" button now!
