"Where Do I Study?"

Managing Your Study Environment

Where you study is just as important as what you study! You can study anywhere, but some places are better than others! We have assembled a list of recommendations and hints for "Managing Your Study Environment." We have also included a "Study Distraction Analysis" to aid you in this important skill.

"Surveys suggest that 80% of a student's study is done
in his or her own room- the best of all worlds!"

Choosing a quiet physical environment is an essential part of your study habits!
Locating a place free of distractions is vitally important!
Selecting a quiet room at home or the library can enhance the study process!
Assembling everything you need before you start saves you valuable time!
Keeping all materials "at arm's reach" will save you even more time!
Relaxing before you begin to study will aid your power to concentrate!

ACTIVITY: To better manage your study environment, the Kenwood team would like you to take the "Study Distraction Analysis."

1. Click on the button in #7.
2. Print out the document, "Study Distraction Analysis."
3. Complete the assessment.
4. Turn in the completed analysis to your advisory teacher.
5. Make certain to put your name at the top of the "Study Distraction Analysis."
6. Click the "BACK" button after printing.
7. Click on the "Study Distraction Analysis" button now!
