I. Find an image you want to copy.
II. Put your cursor on the image (you should see a white hand with index finger pointed).
III. Click down your mouse. (A menu will appear with a number of options.)
IV. Without releasing your mouse drag down to "Save this image as". (This will generate a dialogue box . A name for your file will be supplied automatically.)
V. In this same dialogue box, make sure that "desktop" is listed as where the file will be saved.
**Note: if you have set up a graphics folder, you can designate that as the place where the file will be saved. To do this, make sure the desktop is listed in the window at the top of the dialogue box, then select the appropriate folder before you hit save.
VI. If you wish, change the name of your graphic file to something meaningful to you, but leave the file extension (e.g. ".gif or .jpeg") intact. Do this by typing over the existing file name.
VII. Click save.
VIII. Return to the page where you want to insert the graphic, go to "insert" menu and choose "image..." . (This will generate a dialogue box that lets you choose the file you want to insert.
IX. Click "choose file". (This will generate a dialogue box that lets your search for your image file.)
X. Make sure "desktop" (or the place in which your graphic is stored) is listed in the top window. Find your file and click ok.
