WIT 2001 Module Assessment

NOTE: All WIT Modules must be at the "expert" level in all aspects of this rubric before they may be considered complete.

Critical friends should approach their evaluation from TWO perspectives: that of a critic with experience using web-based curriculum to teach, and that of the "user" who will be approaching this content for the first time.

Questions for Reflection:

• Have you addressed your intended audience (basic vs. advanced)?
• What interactive, engaging activities have you included?
• Is there a handout on the web site? Is the handout in a format that will make it easy to print? Are any "step-by-step" instructions (recipes) included as handouts?
• Are the individual pages of appropriate length given the purposes of the module and the the nature of the topic?
• Are any "pop-up" windows of the type that are easy to close and clearly meant to be closed after they are viewed?
• Is the teachers guide likely to be useful to the mentors and participants? Why or why not?
• Would a person with the prerequisites listed be able to achieve the goals of the module working on his or her own without any support from mentors? If not, why not?
