ACTIVITY 1

Search Engine Tool Activity


1. Type http://www.altavista.com in the location box (address box) of your Internet Browser.

2. Press Enter
AltaVista Home Page should now display

3. Using keywords, type your question or query into the location box

4. Click Find or press Enter.

5. Examine the hits of interest and click one to access the reference

6. Write the URL (address) of the site containing the information that you were looking for.

7. Did the site provide the information you were seeking?
