ACTIVITY 2

Metasearch Engine Tool Activity


1. Type http://www.metacrawler.com in the location box (address box) of your Internet Browser.

2. Press Enter
The Metacrawler! Home Page should now be displayed

3. Using keywords, type your question or query into the location box (try to use the same query as you did in Activity 1).

4. Click Find or press Enter.

5. Examine the hits of interest and click one to access the reference ( Notice that the hits are listed by search engine tool )
( A metasearch engine tool uses several search engine tools at once to conduct a search )

6. Now select from the list of search engine tool hits.

7. Choose one of the "hits" and click on it to review the reference.

8. How effective was this method in obtaining the information that you need? What would you do differently next time.
