Tutorial # 7 Making Your Own Sounds If you want to make your own sounds here's what you'll need: Audio recording software located on your computer, An external microphone Speakers for playback Here are the steps to put it all together: STEP 1: Plug your microphone into the external sound in jack on your computer STEP: 2 Open your audio recording software STEP 3: You will see a button to click to record, stop, and play STEP 4: Press the RECORD button and speaking into the microphone say, "Good Morning. Welcome to Class" STEP 5: Click the STOP button STEP 6: Click the PLAY button If you like the way the file sounds save the file, if not, record it over. Now you have a sound file of your own that you can use for your classroom Web pages. This procedure can be used to capture sound effects as well voice recordings and if you have a tape deck with external sound outputs, you can record sounds and music that way too. If you are interested in learning more about making your own movies, Tutorial 8 will get you well on your way.
