INTRODUCTION
 
 

Allen the Alien from planet Aquaboogie has been dropped into America, a world of unfamiliar territory.  Allen looks around and sees various people of various colors.  Allen the Alien comes across a mirror and discovers that he's black, but he doesn't know what "black" is.  Allen inquires from various people and discovers that he comes from a race of people known as African Americans.

Let's help Allen the Alien learn more about being a African American.  Your task for this quest is to research information that is needed to help Allen know the who, what, when, where, why, and how about being an African American.  By knowing these aspects about being an African American , Allen can avoid getting his butt kicked in the hood.
 
 

In order to prevent a messy situation you need to do the following:  You will need to understand the history of African Americans, the origin of the term African American, the contributions of many African Americans (the arts, science and medicine, literature and entertainment) and finally find some places in the United States where you will feel comfortable living as an African American.

PROCESS
 
 

   Follow these steps as we help Allen discover about being African American.

1.  Allen needs to know first and foremost WHO African American people are.

2.  Then he needs to know WHERE African Americans originated.

3.  Next, he will discover WHY African Americans were uprooted from their original homeland.

4.   Then he will uncoverWHEN African Americans were transported from their original homeland to America.

5.   Allen needs to know HOW  African Americans evolved in this country.

6.   Finally, Allen will discover WHAT African Americans have contributed to society.
