Stopping Email from being Forwarded

If you provided an email address with your WIT application, all of your WIT email is being sent to that address. If you would like to stop the email forwarding and recieve the WIT email at your CUIP address please follow these steps.

  1. Use SSH to login to the server. (The server name will be cuip.net and the login name will be your login name.
  2. On the command line type rm .forward

This stops email sent to your WIT account from being forwarding to your preferred email address. You can now use IMP Webmail to read your email.

 

Changing the Address where your email is being forwarded.

  1. Use SSH to login to the server. (The server name will be cuip.net and the login name will be your login name.
  2. On the command line type pico .forward
  3. Type [Control] K to delete the current forwarding address.
  4. Type the new email address you want your email forwarded to.
  5. Type [Control] X to exit pico.
  6. Type Y to accept the changes you've just made.
