Rationale
This module seeks to support the goals of our small schools: Helping students become productive and responsible citizens of society. Character education through literature experiences provides students with the opportunity to develop their reading skills while at the same time identifying, thinking and applying what they have learned to authentic, real-life situations. The Internet provides a valuable resource in locating stories and activities on the Web that reinforce students' computer skills and convey the material  in a way that interests students.

Audience
This module is geared towards students in grades 3-5. Prior to utilizing this web site, students need to have basic computer skills (controlling the mouse, word processing, etc.) and have basic knowledge of the World Wide Web as a means of locating information.
