Introduction
• This curriculm is designed for young children K - 3. It is
hoped that this will enchance their information about dinosaurs.
Older children will be involved and some activities will be school wide.
Parents will also be an active part of this program.

Aim
• Improve children's knowledge of dinosaurs.

Rationale
• Students already have a natural curiosity about dinosaurs so broadening
their knowledge with specific information will make them more interested
and knowledgeable in this area. We want their knowledge to become
more science based.

Goals
• Students will be able to identify five dinosaurs.
• Students will be able to improve sequencing skills.
• Students will learn what a Paleontologist does.
• Students will learn some of the characteristics of meat eaters and
plant eaters.
• Students will learn about Dinosaur Sue at the Field Museum.

Objectives
• Students will use comic strips they compose to practice sequencing
skills.
• Students will observe a Paleontologist working at the Field Museum.
• Students will practice the skills of a Paleontologist.
• Students will categorize plant eaters and meet eaters, using teeth
and feet.
• Students will create and draw their own dinosaur.
