Objective:  Students will review and enhance their knowledge about simple machines via the internet.

Materials:  computer, Science Journal, poster boards

Vocabulary:   None

Duration:  3-5 days

Grouping:  Whole class and coop groups of four

Preparation:  Group children for presentations.

Activate prior knowledge:  Review computer and cooperative group etiquette.  Review computer terms.

Activity:  (1) Day 1--Explain to students that they are going to make 10 minute presentations next  week.  They will use the internet to explore ideas, gather facts, etc.  (2) Introduce broad topics, Student Explorations.  (3)Put the students in coop groups.
(4)  Days 2-5--Students will explore internet ideas for presentations.
