Teacher's Guide to Israelity
Aim:
The aim of this module is to provide students with an instructional unit about Israel - the land and the country, past and present. The information is presented in the form of pictures, maps, timelines, interactive activities, and virtual tours to enable students to realize the scope of accomplishments despite many adverse conditions (arid and dry climate, poor soil, lack of water sources in many areas, and wars).Rationale:
As the only democracy in the Middle East, a country rich in history, and a very young but highly advanced state, Israel serves as a good tool that can integrate many content and subject areas of the curriculum. Social sciences, physical sciences, and language arts components are easily integrated through the study and story of this fascinating place.
