Step 7:  Save your movie with the .mov extension

Congratulations!  You have successfully captured and created a digital movie using Quick Time 4.

Saving Files

Save your movie files in the same folder as the pages you want them linked to or you will get
a broken embed icon that indicates the file could not be found or the plug-in is not installed
on your computer.

Linking Files

To link your students movie files to a Web page add a <a href src="yourmovie.mov"> tag
to the HTML source code of the page. To do this in Composer you will need to go to the EDIT
menu and open HTML SOURCE.  Be sure you have selected an external HTML editor through
the preferences menu option first.  When the source code page opens add the tag to link your
movie in the <body> section of the document.  Save the text file, return to Composer and preview
the page in Navigator.  Advanced Web page software such as Dreamweaver,  Adobe PageMill,
and Adobe GoLive have insert options for movies and plug-ins that will embed the file on your
Web page without having you edit play with any code.
