         AIM   The aim of this Internet curriculum-based instructional guide is to equip teachers/educator with the necessary training and resources to necessary training and resources to implement, maintain, and
manage a successful Web site.
OBJECTIVES Upon successful completion of this unit, the teacher/educator will:
  • create and design a simple web page
  • surf the Internet to locate resources that can be used to compile engaging, interactive lesson plans
  • list at least five search engines/directories and identify the pros/cons of using each one
  • locate free graphics and multimedia that can be incorporated into a web page

RATIONALE As we approach the new millenium, with the cyberspace and the information highway, awareness
throughout the universe, and the fact that the Internet will be installed in classrooms across the U.S. more and more teachers/educators will be faced with the challenge to train students and staff in technology.   If the teacher is not a technology-trained teacher/educator, he/she will need resources in order to implement a successful Web site.

This guide is designed to enable teachers/educators to obtain useful, exciting, innovative strategies to integrate the Internet into their curriculum.
