AIM: Fifth
grade students will gather, interpret, and analyze information on the important
events and people in the areas of art, science and social science during
the 60's using an interdisciplinary module designed to enhance knowledge
base in social sciences by integrating disciplines, tools, and delivery.
(Information will be added for the
entire 20th century on an on-going basis)
GOALS:
State Goal 16: Understand
and analyze events, trends, individuals and movements shaping the history
of Illinois, the United States and other nations.
CAS, C: Define and use key
historical concepts (e.g. chronology, cause and effect, change ,conflict)
and the tools of social science inquiry to explain and analyze events in
state, national and world history.

This module is targeted for regular/advanced 5th grade
students. The students need to have access to a computer and a working
knowledge of the basics of operating a computer. GO

INSTRUCTIONAL

The students will explore U. S.
History 1900-1990 using this interdisciplinary module designed to enhance
their knowledge base in social sciences by integrating disciplines
(social
studies, science and fine arts), tools (technology,
text, peers/teacher), and delivery. Advantages
