In this activity students will put their garden plan into action by actually going through the process of planting it.

1. Select a garden plot. (size, shape) |

2. Prepare the soil by first turning it with a hoe, than fertilizing it with compost or manure. |

3. Select the seeds or seedlings. (flower, vegetables) |
||||
|
4. Place the seed or seedling into the soil according to the instructions on the seed packet. |

|
5. Label where you placed the different kinds of seeds. |
||||
|
6. Water your garden. |
||||
|
7. Make journal entries. Record the date, time, and your observations. Draw a picture. |
