Questions to consider:
Step One:
1. You should have a computer disc to save your bookmarks...
2. Enter the Web page on Portraits and bookmark pages that you
especially like.
(Maybe you like the site itself or the images or
activities)
Step Two:
1. Each student should have a Fine Arts Journal ...
2. Bookmarked pages will be entered into the Journals - recording
the URL of the pages you saved
Also - write a brief description
of the page - what you actually noticed (facts) and your personal reaction
to that page ( such as,
"it reminded me of my family photos at Thanksgiving and having company")
Step Three:
During the 8 weeks half of the time will be spent creating various portraits from ideas discovered on the web and class projects with the teacher. This curriculum page also includes two portraits of the teacher - one in text and one photo portrait as examples of "portraiture".
Step Four:
Ongoing presentations of bookmarks and individual portrait activities shared with partners and small groups will help keep enthusiasm high and students on task...exploring self and others.
