The following is a list of terms that will assist students engaging in this module:
 

l.   Internet or Net -  a way to get information from around the world by your computer

2.  WWW or World Wide Web - this includes text, graphics and audio video.
 

3.   Browser - allows you to get to a website (Netscape Navigator, America On-line, etc.)

4.   URL or  Uniform Resource Locator - Web Address

5.   Links- click on these to go to other sites in the same page or over the world

6.   E-mail or electronic mail - a way to send and receive messages by computer

7.    Search Engine - type in your topic and it finds all web pages about it

8.    Bookmarking- quick and easy way to save a location for future use
