Professional Information

Keith Kuykendall originally began teaching in 1986 at McLaughlin High School on the Standing Rock Indian Reservation in north-central South Dakota. He taught on the reservation for five years before moving on to Indiana University to study law in 1991. After studying law for two years he returned to teaching in 1993, now at Tinley Park High School in Tinley Park Illinois.

Keith has taught eighth grade math (both accelerated and "eighth grade math for eighth graders who did not pass seventh grade math), consumer math, algebra, physical science, chemistry, second year chemistry, honors chemistry, physics and honors physics.  In the 1998-99 school year he will teach physics, honors physics and algebra at Tinley Park High School.

At McLaughlin Keith supervised whatever activities were not associated with athletics, including National Honor Society, Student Council, Quiz Bowl, Science Fair and SADD.

At Tinley Park he moved into the athletic realm, coaching ninth grade basketball for two years, and track for two years.  He will coach his fifth year of cross country in 1998 and will pick up quiz bowl once again.
