This could be evaluated with a checklist, behavior contract, peer observation
or self monitoring process.

Hints or tips:
This could be part of a behavior modification program. At any time a student
or teacher notices a lapse in language behavior, the discussion could be
centered around other ways to say things either verbally or with body language.
This section could be linked to social studies when discussing cultures,
linked to performing arts when doing character studies, language arts when
writing descriptive passages or dialogues. Adaptations could be made for
students with different disabilities, such as hearing impaired - using
ASL, visual impairments, learning disabilities or behavior disorders.
