Students should:

• know what ratios are and how to compute them what rational and irrational numbers are
• how to measure angles
• how to calculate an angle when given a percentage of a circle
• how to calculate an angle when given a decimal number for the change of the circle
• be able to define and identify symmetry, asymmetry and random
• be able to measure width and length in inches and centimeters
• students should have some keyboarding experience and a familiarity with URLs (i.e. the ability to type in a Web address they already know)
• be able to use links and the "back" button
