Test Taking Activities

Successful test taking requires special preparations. It is often not enough to just read over the notes once, or to reread the textbook to prepare for a test. The type of test you are preparing for will direct how you prepare for that test. A multiple choice test may require more vocabulary study than an essay test. The essay test may require more planning and understanding of relationships and concepts. Preparing for a special test, such as the SAT or ACT, requires special planning.

The following pages will address the techniques needed for different types of tests.
