The following are ideas to use as further explorations of the Fibonacci Sequence and the Golden Mean for those who have extra time or interest. It is amazing to see the varied places these appear!
Fibonacci Architectural Models
Use the two
art activities as a basis for this next project. Have the students
create 3-D scale models of their architectural drawings, using Fome-Core.
Fun With Fibonacci Food
Have
students either research recipes to find ones that use Fibonacci numbers
in the ingredient list, or have students create their own recipes that
follow the numbers. Students can then make the recipe and share with the
class. It can be a Fibonacci Food Fest!
More Fibonacci Art Fun
Investigate the paintings of da Vinci, Mondrian,
Seraut and Durer to see how the Golden Mean is used in their compositions.
