Personal Information
Mrs. Navik was born in Chicago and raised in the northwestern
suburb of Crystal
Lake where she now lives with her four children. She lives among books
stacked on tables, desks and floors. Her hope of returning the house to
order is foiled by the four bibliophiles who stash volumes behind chairs
and in the bathroom as fast as she can reshelve them. This love of the
printed word is a by-product of the Navik Family Home School. For varying
numbers of years each of the Navik children received a tutorial education
at home with Mrs. Navik as their primary educational mentor. They share
the home with two budgies and a cat named Samantha.
The Naviks are die-hard Chicago
Cubs fans and enjoy soccer.
