Lincoln - Douglas Debates
With the coming of Illinois's
senatorial election of 1858, Abraham Lincoln attempted to re-establish
his political career. His opponent was " the Little Giant ", Stephen Douglas.
As the incumbent, he was expected to win. He had made a name for himself
as one of the author's of the Kansas - Nebraska Act. As you visit
the following sites, look for the information concerning:
1) Create a chart that does the following:
a) state the main issues the two debated
b) compare and contrast their positions
