Dred Scott Decision

     The Supreme Court's decision in the Dred Scott case constituted a mortal blow to abolitionists and others who considered slavery an abomination, a sin, and illegal. They had hoped that the Court would strengthen their argument that this institution had to be abolished. As you visit the following sites look for information on the following:
