Welcome to my virtual corner. You will find my "reality classrooms" on the third floor, East Wing Corner of Brooks College Prep Academy. Passing the spacious hallways and enchanting rotunda you will be greeted with science students' works or projects which invites you to look.
Chem Corner is a curriculum web project guided by Chicago Public School and University of Chicago Internet Project (cuip) for teachers to be able to integrate technology as a tool in integrating classroom instructions. It allows teachers to effectively use the vast resources that Internet can offers.
My interest in creating curriculum web(Wit2003 ) started when I reflected on my experiences and observations of students who use computer rooms to surf the Internet and pretend to be following teacher's instructions. Other interesting websites captivated them as soon as the teacher had moved few feet away. My goal is to be able to use students' passion of clicking the Internet websites to an engaging learning activities in order to explore, to gather information, to analyze, to write opinion, to be able to respond or communicate with others and to solve problems scientifically.
