A che ora facciamo la colazione?

The Italians usually have breakfast around 7:30 in the morning.

Usually Italians eat bread with butter or marmalade. They also eat cookies, and croissants.

They usually drink espresso, cappuccino, hot chocolate or coffee with milk.

Many Italians have breakfast at home. Others go to the bar.* While some Italians do not eat breakfat at all.

Between 12:30 and 2:30, Italians eat lunch.

This meal is eaten at home, a cafeteria or at a restaurant.

The Italians usually have soup or pasta for the first course. For the second course, meat or fish with vegetables or fried potatoes is eaten. For dessert they eat some fruit such as apples, oranges grapes, bananas or peaches. Lunch is finished off with a piece of pie, some yogurt or ice cream.

The late afternoon meal is eaten aroung 5:00 p.m. This meal is mostly for children but some adults eat too.

One can drink hot chocolate, fruit juice, or some tea with lemon. There are sandwiches, cookies or other sweets to eat.

A che ora facciamo la cena?

This is the last meal of the day. It is usually eaten between 7:30pm and 9:00 pm. This is the meal where all of the family eats together at home.

The first course consists or soup or pasta, The second course meat, fish or potatoes with vegetables is eaten. Bread is always on the table. Generally, the adults drink wine. Dinner is finished off with some cheese, a sweet or some fruit.
