LETTER RECOGNITION
 

Grade Level:    Prekindergarten

CAS Standards:   Identify upper and lower case letters of the alphabet
 

Assessment:   The student will identify letters in name on computer keyboard and type name with assistance from teacher.
 

Procedures:   Teacher will assist students to link alphabet page to lesson of the day.
                    Student will identify an animal picture which  relates to the beginning letter of its name.
                    Student will place cursor on the animated letter of the day.
 

Materials:     Computer, computer printer, 2 handouts per child
