Rational:
Through the use of the computer in the classroom, students should able
to work at their own pace and have a better understanding of multiplication.
They should also have some type knowledge of the computer world.
Goals and Objectives:
Because of technology advancements and changes in our society,
students need to become familiars with the technology systems and their
functions. Through modernized technology and communication students
can achieve at their highest potential. After teacher directed instruction
students should be able to work independently or in a cooperative
learning group during free time or as part of Math Center.
Audience and Prerequisites:
Any student from 3rd to 8th grade who needs help with multiplication.
Special Education students can use this lesson as well because the activities
are range from easy to hard.
Students should have the basic knowledge of addition and subtraction.
They should also have a good understanding on how to turn on the computer
and browse the internet.
Description of Subject Matter:
After teacher have given direction, students will independently
work on activities that teacher have created:
The students will solve problem in the web.
The students will learn how to multiply decimal number.
The students will be able to do multiplication with real life situation.
The students will use place value concepts to do multiplication
The students will be able to identify and use relationship
between multiplication and division to develop strategies to
multiply and divide and to solve problems.
Instructional Plan:
This lesson will be used as an on line tutorial or along with teacher
led interaction. The practice activities can be completed individually
or in a group.
