Coaching - Actually, coaching isn't an interest with me...it is a passion.  Currently, I am the head freshmen boys basketball coach at Kenwood Academy.  During my eight years of coaching, I've come to realize that I have a classroom that students are just dying to be in.  While instruction of basketball is the main emphasis,  it gives  me an opportunity to address  other issues as well.  I want to do what my college coach did for me...... inspire!  Not necessarily to win, but to put out your best effort at whatever you do.  Often, he would put up little motivational tidbits (like the one at the top) for us to read.  A lot of my teammates thought it was corny.  I read every one of them.  I think thats true today.   Some will think that it is silly to post up such stories....... but then that one comes along.

Reading - Of all the classic, traditional, and moderern great works  I've read, my favorite book is still Where the Sidewalk Ends  & The Giving Tree both by Shel Silverstein.  In fact, they should be on the fifty greatest books ever written!
