Cat
Hey everybody!  It's time to bat.
If you have a cat, bring it along.
If you're fat, I hope you can bat good.

Bring along your rat and give him a hat.
But be careful!
If somebody steps on him he'll splat!
Be careful about hitting a gnat
Instead of the ball with a bat!

If you're flat, you won't be able to bat
Because a cat and a rat will jump on you.
Then the cat will start chasing the rat
And that will break your concentration.

An Awful Day

woke up
at 7:21 this
morning.  Breakfast tasted very
boring.  Today was an awful
day.  I got to school 10
minutes late.  Everyone was mad
at me
and Cate.  Today was an awful day.  There
was this math problem
I just couldn't solve.  I
couldn't rhyme anything with
the word evolve.  Today was
an
awful day.  Lunch tasted
terrible.  My friends acted unbearable.  Today was

AN AWFUL DAY!

Rum And A Squirrel
Rum-aty, dum-aty, dum.
A squirrel drank some rum.
He went kabum! Kabum!
Rum-aty, dum-aty, dum.

Rum-aty, dum-aty, dum.
He got so sick,
He went tock-tick!
Rum-aty, dum-aty, dum.

Rum-aty, dum-aty, dum,
He drank some more.
Now he's done for.
Rum-aty, dum-aty, dum.

Rum-aty, dum-aty, dum.
He blew up into bits.
That's all there is to it.
Rum-aty, dum-aty, dum.

Happiness
Happiness comes, happiness goes.
Happiness is everywhere, I suppose.
Happiness is there, happiness is here
Happiness is everywhere that is makes me tear.
Happiness is special especially to me.
Happiness is friendly just as friendly as my friends.
Happiness is almost the same as everything else.
Happiness comes, Happiness goes.
Happiness is everywhere, I suppose.

Panthers
Panthers live in the jungle in a faraway land,
and that is where you'll find them
Walking in the sand.
When they are little cubs they like to tag around too,
But when people see panthers
They know exactly what to do.

The Park
I go to the park.  I stay and play until dark.
I run and jump, ride and slide
And sometimes, even hide.
I like to play with just one friend.
We stay and play until the bitter end.
Then we park until we meet again.

That Shining Star
When I see
That shining star
My dad goes to the car.

When I see
That shining star
My mom, Pat, plays with the cat.

There is not
Much to see so
Please let me be.

When I see
That shining star
My mind goes very far.

When I see
That shining star
I just gotta go get
A candy bar.

When I see
That shining star
The honey looks like money.

My Two Tadpoles
I have two tadpoles named Omar and Juliet.
They're small and slimy but they're really great.
Soon they will turn into frogs.
They won't eat like hogs.
Flies will be hard to feed them
But maybe they will like frenchfries.
I love my frogs to death.
The next one I think I will call it Beth.

One day
I was walking
Down the street

Singing a little beat
I went to my friend's house
And saw a little field mouse

I showed my friend
And he just saw
A tail end.

Food Is My Favorite

Pizza is my favorite food
It always tastes good.
I eat pizza for dinner
It might be good for either.

I like eggs the most
They are always cold and frozen.
Eggs are good
They are always good but make me feel bad.

School
School is boring.
You have to study
And read with a buddy.

School is too confining.
I like to run and play
For as the time drags on
It just ruins my day.

Spring Vacation
I sat at my desk.
It is a big mess.
I am waiting for
The bell to go brrriiinngg!

Once I got home I
Went to the indoor pool.
It was so cool
To be on spring break!

I went out of town.
We rented a boat.
To my friend I wrote.
Mailed it today.

We went to the beach.
A leach sucked my blood.
In the car there became a flood.
I fell in the lake and in a well.

When I got home
I thought that spring vacation
Was not so incredibly fun.

Miming
I'm a mime and it's time to mime
So go mighty Mr. Mime.
Let's mime Mr. Mime and
Have some mime time.

If you don't mind,
I'll mime on time with Mr. Mime.
I'm the mime of money time.

I'm the mime of mind.
So mime we will and mime and mime
Till we drop miming.

Lizards
I love lizards.
Lizards love me.
Lizards hate blizzards
When they are in a tree.

Lizards like peas.
They don't know their a-b-c's.
They never sneeze
And they sometimes say "please."

Some lizards have big eyes.
Some lizards eat pies.
Some lizards like fries.
Some lizards lick their eyes.

Nasty Flies Prize
In the contest,
I won a prize.
In the bag flew
Six nasty flies.

I hid them under
My pretty desk.
Everyday it stinks
Under my desk.

So I snatched it
Away from my desk.
And set it next to the pesky pest.

The pest screamed
And ran away fast!
What could I do,
But it's in the past.

Now I know where
To put it now!
In the trash can!!!
I wondered how...

A Puffy Cereal
I eat puffy cereal every morning.
It is puffy, tuffy, muffy.
You eat the cereal every morning.
Puffy, duffy, muffy cereal for me.

My Whole Life
My whole life is ahead of me
And why should I waste it?
My whole life includes ice-cream and
Boy would I taste it.

I don't know why my whole life
Has to be so good.
If I could live forever
I would, I would, I would.

The Windy City
It's windy, it's cold.
But still fun.
It's the windy city with pretty buildings.
The city of kind people is Chicago.
A special generation and nation.
We are one and have won.

We're tryers, buyers, desires, and fires
That are growing higher.
I guess we will need some water
Because this fire is going to keep burning.

Cities come in different shapes and sizes.
The sun raises here but sets on the horizon.
That's our city.  That's Chicago.

Homework

Homework is dumb
It makes me sick.
I wish I never had it
It makes me say, "ick!"
I just wish it will just disappear
I'd rather get sick than do homework.
I know that it's here.
I wish I could go back home.
When they put the homework upon my desk
I could just pass out.

Spring Break Chores
Last week I thought about Spring Break
And now that it's here
I wish I was at school.
For if I was at school,
I would not have to do my  Spring Break chores
And if I didn't have to do my Spring Break chores
I would not have this aching headache
And I would not be so sore!

House
My friend is standing at the door.
My dime is hanging.
He looks up
It's going to hit you more.
He runs out of the house like a mouse.

Thanks

T stands for thanks, I say everyday.
H stands for hello, I might say.
A stands for alike, nobody is today.
N stands for nothing, nobody is today.
K stands for kookie, that's spelled the wrong way.
S stands for school, where all my friends are cool.
Thanks, that's my poem.  That's all today!
