     Kindergartners will be able recognize other planets other than Earth.
 

      Students will draw a picture book of the planets. Each page should include 2 to 3 details about each planet. Students will gather information by surfing the websites on the planets.  Also, students will use their prior knowledge of the planets, which was gathered from studying maps.
 

1)  What is the main shape of a planet?
        Am I a rectangle?               Am I a circle?                   Am I a square?
 

2)   Are all planets the same color?
        Am I always blue?             Am I always red?             Am I more than one color?
 
               

3)  Which planet is the smallest, largest, and the most recognized?
     Am I Uranus?    Am I Pluto?    Am I Jupiter?    Am I Mercury?    Am I Earth?    Am I Venus?
