Welcome to the computer lab. It is my hope that each classroom teacher will find comfort in creating projects in the computer lab this year. Technology is a very effective tool. Creating electronic portfolios will be invaluable. They will provide insight into a student's individual talents and portray their strongest intelligence.

EXPECTATIONS:

My goal for each classroom teacher is to guide you through the process of creating classroom electronic portfolios to be published online. Please schedule a time as soon as possible with me to discuss your project in detail.

VIEWING ONLINE PORTFOLIOS: The following is a list of websites that provide examples of some online portfolios.

This is the most important phase of the project. Teachers should decide what it is they want to include in the portfolio. Student should be given the opportunity to help in this process. The teacher should concentrate on the presentation goals, the audience, and the tools that will be most appropiate for the presentation context.

The teacher and the technology specialist should consult concerning appropiate software for the presentation. The students can be instrumental in the design format. See the above website for more ideas.
