Introduction
- This project introduces the participants to electronic portfolios
through integrated activities aimed toward making individual teachers
feel comfortable creating electronic portfolios.
Aim - The aim of this project
in to provide a general understanding of the process involved in
creating electronic portfolios.
Rationale- This aim
is worth achieving because electronic portfolios serve to enhance
and engage student learning. Students will feel a sense of accomplishment
and empowerment by displaying, sharing and presenting their electronic
portfolios to teachers, fellow classmates, and parents.
Goals and Objectives- The
major goal of this project is to instruct teachers on how to create
an electronic portfolio that can be used to diagnosis student learning.
- Use electronic portfolios as an authentic performance
based assessment tool
- Create electronic portfolios to enhance computer
and technology skills
- Utilize basic computer equipment to create
resources for integrating teaching with multiple intelligences.
- Integrate technology in the existing curriculum
- Organize student work and share accomplishments
on-line with others
Audience -The audience
consists of classroom teachers, resource teachers and others who
work directly with students
Pre-reguisites- The teacher should
possess basic computer knowledge. In addition the teacher should
be willing to integrate new technologies in the present curriculum.
The teacher should also know how to scan and display images on a
computer.
